Holiday Activities in Marbella and The Surrounding Areas
There are plenty of exciting activities to do in Marbella that are suitable for everyone, including families. The meeting of the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Ocean offers a unique geographic for exceptional whale and dolphin watching, which we recommend as it’s an experience that you won’t forget. The Costa del Sol is part of the migration route for multiple whale species, such as Killer Whales, Sperm Whales and Fin Whales. Also, three different species of dolphins (Common, Striped and Bottlenose) inhabit the recently established Natural Park of the Strait of Gibraltar, along with Pilot Whales.
Marbella has a magnificent selection of sandy beaches with water sports on offer, including kayaking and paddle-boarding, situated on the Golden Mile, Playa de Nagueles being one of the most popular. There are also elegant and stylish yacht charters to relax on too and soak up the tremendous Mediterranean weather. Costa Water Park is also a short drive from Marbella, and it’s one we highly recommend, as it’s fun and exciting! For something more thrill-seeking, venture out on a Marbella buggy. It’s an exhilarating activity and a fantastic way to explore the Spanish town. You can also go horse riding too and ride off into the sunset.
Marbella and the surrounding areas also offer a range of sporting activities. These include can canyoning, mountain biking, hiking, fishing and climbing. If you enjoy playing golf, we recommend Marbella’s Golf Valley is home to more than 15 top-quality golf clubs.
