The Algarve is anything you desire it to be. From the airport of Faro, a brief drive takes you to the exclusive villas of Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo and Vilamoura, with their world-class golf and facilities and to the town of Almancil. North into the hills around Santa Barbara de Nexe, yet just a short distance from the coast, are houses with superb views, whilst East towards Tavira and the Spanish border can be found delightful unspoilt coastline and countryside.
Looking for the best beaches? They are all along the coastline right up to Cape St. Vincent, but many of the finest can be found near the resorts and villages of the Central Algarve.
