The Region

Behind the coastal strip and beyond citrus groves and rich farmland, the countryside rises and quiet country roads lead to unspoilt hillside villages and towns such as Santa Barbara de Nexe. These villages are, however, by no means remote and still have good access to the beaches and resorts. Their main attraction though, is their rustic ambience, with bars and restaurants offering delicious local food and countryside with superb views around every corner. Many of our houses in this area share these views. Relax with a glass of local wine and watch the sun set into the Atlantic.

Close by is the town of Loule where the weekly market is a magnet for locals and visitors alike: an ideal place to drink in the atmosphere and shop for fresh produce and attractive pottery. This area really is the best of both worlds.
