The stars of the show at the wonderful Madikwe Private Game Reserve are without doubt the wildlife. The uniqueness of Madikwe lies in its diversity, where various landscapes and biomes host a huge range of flora and fauna, including Africa’s iconic Big 5. The reserve is also home to healthy Cheetah and Wild Dog populations and is one of the only places in Africa where you can see Aardwolf, Spotted Hyena and Brown Hyena in one place. Morning and evening safari drives will bring you right up-close to these marvellous animals and with the reserve only allowing a maximum of 3 vehicles at any one time, the reserve will practically be all yours to explore. Bush walks and guided birdwatching excursions will offer another fantastic perspective of the incredible surroundings and its inhabitants. Guests are also welcome to participate in the reserve’s excellent rhino conservation scheme.
